Abelssoft is a business unit of Ascora GmbH and is based in northern Germany. The headquarters is located in Ganderkesee and has have a secondary office in Delmenhorst; both offices are located in Lower Saxony, Germany.

Since 1994 Abelssoft has been developing and selling software as an Independent Software Vendor (ISV). The software products have been translated into 14 different languages, and are distributed to end users worldwide.
