Allowance for Good (AfG) develops the rising generations of philanthropic leaders who cultivate global citizenship and empower others around the world to achieve their full potential. We seek to educate and engage US youth ages 13-18 in philanthropy in order to extend their perspectives beyond our borders encouraging them to acknowledge the extreme poverty and lack of access to resources faced by youth around the world. We do this by enriching, empowering, and educating youth through three programs: our Emerging Leaders in Philanthropy educational series, a Global Philanthropy Summit introducing youth to Chicagoland’s philanthropic sector, and our Global Engagement Expeditions in experiential service learning.
