How long have you been doing what you do and how did you get to be so good at helping clients identify their self sabotage, eliminate and build success?
To answer that it is probably necessary to share with you what I consider to be a very defining moment in my life. It brought me to where I am today, coaching people like you and having the privilege of partnering with them in prayer as they move from sabotage to success.
I grew up in an alcoholic home and I was quite the handful. I was exposed to everything most individuals are part of growing up in this kind of dysfunction. By the time I was in my early twenties I was struggling with rejection, social anxiety, panic attacks, severe bouts of depression, addictions, sexual issues and compulsive control. I could not maintain any stability in any area of my life and drove away anyone who tried to help me. There is very rarely anything my clients share with me that I can’t relate to. With that said, I received Christ in college at Florida State University while doing my internship for Criminology. It was at this point, that I began the process of becoming empowered for success through understanding my identity in Christ, connecting with him through prayer and building practical systems in every area of my life. I married, and spent the next 20 years building my family, church planting with a team, leading prayer, and being a top producer in a sales company two years in a row. I felt grateful and blessed to have overcome sabotage in multiple areas of my life.
From 2005 to 2006, I had a series of events that sabotaged my health, emotions, friendships, family, ministry and finally my finances. It culminated in an ID theft that reached almost 1 million dollars and so large the FBI actually got involved. I felt totally exhausted and victimized in every area that was part of my core identity. It was then I realized that the past 20 years of working my way out of self-sabotage in every area of my life had equipped me to transition through this phase on jet-speed. Using the system I coach with, in less than a year, I went from exhaustion to running a marathon (never had been a runner), financial chaos to appearing on national T.V. (and getting paid for it) and quickly transitioning out of unhealthy partnerships into ones that were more intimate, peaceful and prosperous personally and in business. It was at this point I felt God calling me to empower others as a certified coach and speaker and share what he had done for me! I am passionate about helping men and women find the success they long for by understanding their identity in Christ, providing them with the partnership neccessary to pace well and connecting them with the resources needed to sustain long-term intergenerational success.
