About

Brain Surgeon Theater is an ensemble of artist-educators that has been collaborating since 2006. Our core group of theatre artists, musicians, choreographers, and filmmakers facilitates our highly creative summer camps, birthday parties, afterschool programming, weekend intensives, and day-off events.  We have also just launched "Kids' Night Out" at our home base, Gorilla Tango Theatre in Bucktown (Chicago).

Brain Surgeon's artists are professionals in our fields, and we consider the teaching we do to be part of our artistic practice. Creative thinking, teamwork, hard work and play are the foundation of both our own work as artists and the way we teach.

Our fees and donations enable us to provide scholarships for local kids in need to participate in our creative arts programs.
