Briar Cottages is a luxury and pet friendly self catering holiday cottage business in the village of Lochearnhead on the A85 road to Crieff between Perthshire and Stirlingshire.  Two detached local stone cottages sleep up to four, facing south with exceptional views over Loch Earn, Edinample Castle and Stuc A Chroin Munro.  Briar Cottages are elevated within the three acre landscaped gardens of a tradition B listed thatched cottage where owners Kim and Fraser live. The Proven’s offer vacation rental weeks and short breaks all year round with flexible start dates. Guests are invited to use the garden on the banks of Loch Earn for fishing, boat launching and relaxation.  The 250ft garden has a slipway, jetty, moorings, picnic tables, a Petanque Piste and a summer house. Use of the hot tub on the  grounds is inclusive. The Proven’s invite all guests to view inside the lounge of their thatched cottage to see the original Scots pine cruck framed ceiling and to hear stories from its past. The house once known as Easter Achraw has a history of tenants from local clans MacGregor and McLaren. The cottage is close to 2 hotels, a water sports centre, village shop and post office and lies within The Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.  The business is well situated for wildlife, golf, cycling, walking, Munro's, water sports, history, fishing, folklore, photography, relaxation and touring.
