About

The Creative Network Studios celebrated its 25 year anniversary in September  2014 as a Charlotte-based entertainment entity that has proven to be a high rise in the skyline of the North Carolina world of production. Its founder created and produced such legendary commercial successes as "The Barbara Mandrell Series" for NBC as well as a Johnny Cash Special "Behind Prison Walls" that remains one of the longest running syndicated specials in history. CNS has either created and produced network specials such as the America's Awards, or co-produced, with Jefferson Pilot, gymnastic and ice skating specials starring Olympic Champions. Movies of the Week as well as a recent independent film call The Taking have been shot on the sound stages at CNS.  Entering into the online streaming space was a natural for a creative force that is able to provide everything necessary to produce multi-camera daily online shows.  From conception, to writing copy and scripts, to casting, shooting and editing, our cost and time effectiveness has proven exemplary of the quality of talented people who have worked, or are currently working, with CNS.  Founder, Charles Ison also has over 35 years in film production, having been one of the original personalities that helped create the North Carolina State Film Commission. His film credits include over 7 theatrical releases, 16 MOWs and most recently a film starring Billy Zane (Titanic), AnnaLynne McCord (New 90210,) and Viva Bianca (Spartacus) entitled SCORNED.  He has partnered with Martin Sprock and Horse Head Pictures to produce a portfolio of independently written films that are either in development or pre-production.  The "vibe" of CNS is one that has received wonderful comments from Academy Award Winning Actors such as Jack Palance, television and film stars such as John Amos, and major Hollywood Film Executive Producers such as William Fay, regarding the creative environment that resides here. Creative Network Studios may best be summed up in a note received from Dale Pond, creator of the Happy Meal for McDonald's, which reads, "Magic is made here.  Passion prevails.  Talent abounds.  And integrity is omnipresent.  This is a wonderful place to be." We think so, too and invite you to come experience our second home.
