The MRFRS is a nationally recognized, non-profit volunteer-driven organization committed to ensuring the health and welfare of feral and domestic cats and kittens by promoting pro-active, compassionate, no-kill programs.
MRFRS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization. All sponsorships and donations are tax deductible.  The Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society operates several programs including:

Catmobile- Mobile spay/neuter clinic for owned and feral cats and kittens.  This vehicle is staffed by a licensed veterinarian and two veterinary technicians.  Since our program began in October of 2008 have spayed or neutered over 25,000 cats and kittens.

We also operate CatSnip Clinics, which is another low cost spay/neuter service in central, MA.

Adoption program- Our adoption program assists over 800 cats and kittens a year.  By rescuing them and adopting them out.  We have an adoption center in Salisbury and a meet and great center in Rowley, MA.  

Feral Cat Spay/neuter program- We offer monthly spay/neuter programs that are free to volunteers who trap feral cats for spay/neuter.  

We have two pilot programs in Lowell, MA and Fitchburg, MA working with community members to assist with spay/neuter of ferals in these communities.

Since our founding in 1992 we have assisted over 55,000 cats and kittens.
