COW AND CLOVER BRINGS SEASONAL WOOD FIRED COOKING TO WILLIAMSBURG WATERFRONT

(Brooklyn, NY September 2014) -  Cow and Clover is pairing with North East farms, fishermen and butchers to bring a diverse menu of seasonal fare to the up and coming waterfront district of Williamsburg.  The restaurant is located at 291 Kent Avenue, on the corner of Kent and South 2nd Avenue, directly across from the iconic Domino Sugar Factory.

Cow and Clover is a beautiful new restaurant with an open kitchen and two wood fire ovens.  The space will function as a full service restaurant, bar and cafe with seating for over one hundred.

The menu from chef Morgan Schofield (il Buco, North End Grill, Blue Hill) is seasonally driven and focuses on utilizing the restaurants two woods ovens as much as possible.  Offerings include organic Piri Piri pepper chicken, wood fired Pat LaFrieda Short Rib Burger,  mussels with local beer and whole grain mustard,  artichokes with tarragon pesto and oranges, and chickpea and summer vegetable stew with garlic puree.  Not all flavors coming from the wood ovens are bold and powerful however...North Atlantic hake is roasted simply with salt and olive oil, letting the wood smoke infuse the delicate, flaky white fish.
Even the bar program is taking full advantage of the wood ovens.  A current customer favorite is the wood roasted jalapeno margarita.

Cow and Clover is now open for dinner service seven nights a week and cafe service (free wifi and homemade savory and sweet pastries) each morning and afternoon.  Weekend brunch is coming end of September.
