About Me
WHY I AM RUNNING:
In plain terms, the Attorney General is the State’s lawyer. The Attorney General is charged with upholding the laws of the state, to provide for the public safety, prosecution of criminal appeals, and oversee state grand juries.

In my opinion, the whole point of justice is to allow everyone equality under the law -- including government. Therefore, I believe this position carries with it an equal role of responsibility of protecting our citizens from the often overreaching authority of government power and regulations.

I have seen a larger and larger imposition by government over every aspect of our lives. Under the guise that only politicians can make us safe, I see more and more laws every year which are infringing on our state and federal constitutions.

We need to enforce existing laws that uphold individual rights. Colorado needs an Attorney General who is not swayed by party loyalties, political favoritism, or the thirst for expanded power. Colorado needs an Attorney General guided by principle and by commitment to upholding the natural rights guaranteed us by the United States and Colorado Constitutions.

I will stand up for you. I will work to protect Colorado from the constant assault on its citizens' rights by big government -- from government corruption, to the ever increasing surveillance state.

I ask that you join with me this November to RETHINK COLORADO.

MARIJUANA
The people of Colorado have spoken repeatedly on this issue: Colorado wants marijuana legal in this state. Not just as an important option for our sickest citizens, but for adults to use responsibly. We must not stifle the entrepreneurs who will provide jobs and the tax funds that will roll in once these businesses are in full operation.

Therefore, we must resist the overreaching federal government. We must not allow it to impose its political agenda on our fledgling industry against the will of the people of Colorado. In addition, we must resist our own politicians who, without any industry knowledge or technical expertise, sponsor legislation contrary to the will of the voters.

As Attorney General, I will aggressively prosecute those who violate our marijuana laws, but I also promise to protect this industry from the over regulation by our federal counterparts and our state’s own legislators.

GUN CONTROL AND REGULATION:
Like many of you, I am bothered by our most current group of legislators who usurped their authority of the United States Constitution and the Colorado Constitution by denying the citizens of Colorado the right to vote on this important constitutional right.

Not only are the current gun control measures nearly unenforceable, they make criminals out of otherwise completely law-abiding Colorado citizens.

Supporters of gun control will cite the need for public safety; however, disarming law-abiding citizens does not create public safety. As your next Attorney General, I will use my office to protect the rights of law-abiding citizens.

PERSONAL PRIVACY
Only a few years ago most of us could not have fathomed the scope of the governmental spying and data collection programs we now know about today. Many are shocked to learn the magnitude of these activities. Consequently, with an ever-growing world of personal information, people are naturally becoming more cautious on what information could be obtained and used against them.

Moreover, with the ability to gather this information becoming more and more commonplace, I believe the citizens of Colorado are looking for an end to what seemly has become a nonstop technological invasion of all that is private.

As one who is offended by the constant threat of invasion of personal information, I promise to protect the citizens of Colorado against unconstitutional government intrusions of our Fourth Amendment rights to be secure from unreasonable searches and seizures.

DEATH PENALTY
Unlike any of my other opponents running for Attorney General, I am 100% against the death penalty -- without reservation.

History has shown that the execution process is inherently flawed.

GOVERNMENT CORRUPTION and FRAUD
One of my top priorities will be to investigate and prosecute government corruption, bribery, and corporate fraud against the people of Colorado.
