About

EST WST Collective is an expression of culture, sustainability and concern for our global population. As a socially focused brand, we’re committed to environmental sustainability and rural development, striving to provide an authentic alternative to conventional fashion. Each product is consciously crafted from natural and recycled materials, selected in an effort to minimize our carbon footprint, and from traditional handwoven textiles directly from our partner weavers in rural Nepal and India.

In an effort to minimize our carbon footprint, we use certified organic cotton, natural fibers such as hemp and nettle, biodegradable pu leather as well as waterproof lining and shock resistant foam, which are both manufactured from recycled plastic bottles.

We partner with rural weavers for our handloom textiles. Offering an authentic piece of culture direct from rural artisans while providing a sustainable form of income for our partner communities. Through the purchase of our products, you support the preservation of a dying craft and the livelihood of rural populations in Nepal and India.

Additionally, in our commitment to sustainable rural development, a dollar of each EST WST product is contributed to our Rural Development Fund. Every day more than 1500 Nepalese citizens leave the country for labor jobs overseas. Unemployment is close to 40% and remittance from migrant workers accounts for 25% of GDP, the highest in the world. The majority of migrants are from rural villages where 71% of Nepal’s population is based. EST WST supports the development of economic opportunity in rural Nepal and India through sustainable microenterprise development, skill development, clean energy and education.
