A message from John Driebe about the History of Nissan of Elk Grove, Infiniti of Elk Grove and Mazda of Elk Grove:
In 1981 I started my career in the car business selling cars for a VW Mazda dealership in my home town of Ft Lauderdale Florida. I worked at that same dealership selling cars until 1985 when I received a job offer to come to San Francisco and work for The Tom Price Dealership Group. Working with Tom Price I progressed through many different levels of management until I became the General Manager and a Partner at Lexus of Serramonte in August of 1989. Being part of Lexus allowed me to truly understand the level of service necessary to satisfy discriminating clients. Many of the things we do here in Elk Grove today, I practiced at Lexus of Serramonte. In 2001 Sonic Automotive a large public company bought Lexus and I went to work for them managing their Luxury Dealerships in Northern California. After a short period of time I realized corporate life was not for me.
My Wife and I purchased a small Nissan Kia Dealership on Florin Road in July of 2001, we moved Nissan to the Elk Grove Auto Mall in August of 2003 then opened Infiniti in 2004. Mazda was just added to our family of dealerships in 2009. We also have a Quick Service Center in between Nissan and Infiniti of Elk Grove in the Elk Grove Auto Mall and a Collision center on Florin Road that we are going to bring to Elk Grove in 2010.
Having been in the car business for almost 30 years I try and live by this simple philosophy. Hire good people, give them the opportunity to continue to learn and grow, make sure all of our team members treat each other with respect.
