Georgia Regents University graduates are prepared, able, and responsive!

The preparation of teachers and other school personnel is critical to all other professions, and to communities, the state, and the nation. The professional educator plays an essential role in student learning. Georgia Regents University College of Education's mission and vision are to produce prepared, able, and responsive professionals to teach and support diverse learners.

This mission and vision requires a partnership between the professional education unit including the College of Education, the College of Arts and Sciences, the local community educational system, community agencies, and the Partner School Network.

The College of Education offers teacher education undergraduate programs leading to certification in: Early Childhood Education, Middle Grades Education, Secondary Secondary , and P-12 (Foreign Language Education (French or Spanish), Health and Physical Education, Music Education, and Special Education).

The College of Education offers MAT programs designed for career changers. A Master of Arts in Teaching degree can be earned in the following areas: Early Childhood Education, Middle Grades Education, Secondary Biology Education, Secondary Chemistry Education, Secondary History Education, Secondary Math Education, Secondary Physics Education, Secondary English Education, Secondary Political Science Education, Foreign Language Education (French or Spanish), Health and Physical Education, Music Education, and Special Education.

Master's programs are offered in Curriculum and Instruction, Counselor Education, Educational Leadership and Teacher Leadership. An Educational Specialist degree is offered in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, and Counselor Education.
