About

Founder and owner Regina McRae likes to say she didnt go into business, she fell into business. She founded the company in 1995 with only $10 and 9 pies at the urging of friends and family. While delivering her desserts in the hopes of one day opening a shop, she realized she had discovered a niche, and began promoting her business as "Home Baked Good to go". 17 years later, she is still NY's only dessert delivery company. From Long Island to New Jersey to Westchester, and all the boroughs in between, you can sit home and order a peach cobbler to a custom cake to be delivered to your home, office, or event.

The company has received numerous accolades, from NY Daily News Critics Choice, to New York Magazines Editors Pick, to Nickelodeon's Parents Pick. Regina was even honored to be chosen as Google's Spokesperson for Small Business Success. She has appeared on Food Network twice, most recently as a challenger on Sweet Genius. She has been written about in the New York Times, "O" Magazine, and Black Enterprise to name a few.

Grandma's Secrets hosts a weekly radio broadcast "Business Matters - Where Your Small Business Matters"  on Blog Talk Radio. Each week over 1,000 listeners tune in to hear her and her guest educate, uplift, empower, and inspire small business owners.

Regina McRae is also author of "Taking the Cake", the Ultimate Cake Guide. Written primarily as a wedding cake guide for the ethnic bride, the book has gone on to be a cake guide for anyone loving to bake good cakes.
