Sarasota Gulf Gate Rotary Club was founded in 1973 as an authorized club within Rotary International. Rotary International is one of the world's oldest and largest charitable organizations. It was founded in 1905 and now has over 1.2 million members in over 34,000 clubs in over 200 countries and regions. Built ont he motton "Service above Self" Rotary clubs seek worldwide peace and understanding through local and international assistance programs.

Sarasota Gulf Gate Rotary raises funds year round and donates money, services and goods for the betterment of the life of children and others in the Sarsota county area and to Rotary causes world wide. The club meets on Tuesdays at 12:00 at Mattison's 41, located on south Tamiami Trail in Sarasota.
