Founded by Jack O’Donnell owner of the Numark-Alesis group that also includes the Akai professional and Mixmeister brands. Our company was established to fulfill the needs of the music enthusiasts, musicians and DJ’s of all levels looking for an affordable solution to digital music entertainment.
ION was created to deliver consumer electronic products outside of our traditional Pro MI retail channels. In 2006 we released the World’s first USB turntable, and launched a global brand, to date, ION have sold in excess of 2 million Turntable units worldwide and have successfully expanded our product line to include iPod, SD and Flash Drive versions.
ION Audio has seen sustained year on year growth with sales of over $50million in 2009. Today, ION has become synonymous with innovative consumer electronics and is expanding its product range to include A/V, home entertainment, gaming controllers, media archiving, computer peripherals and health & wellness product lines. We now boast a mixed Portfolio of over 60 products.
