About

As a children's author and editor of Maryland's first online magazine written by middle school students for their same-aged peers, I'm elated to help children gain awareness and understanding of important issues through printed publications, books and online connections.

Through my books, I've developed a knack for teaching even the youngest children about important ecological issues and what they can do to help. I bring this same zest and appeal to middle school students around the state as I help them connect to topics that are exciting, educational and informational.

My three newest books: SEAHORSES, Squirrel Rescue, and Animal Helpers: Wildlife Rehabilitators, have launched. Animal Helpers is a gorgeous new nonfiction photographic series that explores the ways in which experts help different kinds of animals--wild, endangered, zoo-kept and domestic.Next year, two more: Sanctuaries and Zookeepers will launch.
