About

Lifelines Academy & Network is an online community for educating, connecting and promoting businesses serving seniors nationwide. Our mission is to prepare businesses, professionals and families to meet the challenges of – and to realize the opportunities associated with—the aging of America. Baby boomers turning 65 and the extension of life spans due to modern medicine are megatrends leading to a “Senior Tsunami” that has only just begun.

To achieve our mission, we offer over 500 online courses for professionals serving seniors, including healthcare providers, geriatric care managers, home care providers, attorneys and financial advisors, senior move managers, designers, realtors, patient advocates, and more. Our courses are developed with and taught by guest faculty who are subject matter experts, and many courses are offered in partnership with professional associations and non-profit organizations. Continuing education credits and professional certifications are available.

Our collaborative approach to developing courses carries over to our Lifelines Network™, a selective membership-based network of businesses providing services and products to the aging market. Lifelines Network fosters collaboration, referrals and peer-to-peer learning by and between people who all play a vital role in meeting the needs of our seniors and their families.

Through its Lifelines Marketing division, the company provides website development, branding, copywriting, co-op marketing opportunities and other marketing services to businesses serving seniors.

Lifelines Academy& Network was founded in January 2009 by Sheryl Hunter and Elizabeth Zaski and is headquartered in Tampa, Florida.  The founders are currently writing a book on the business of serving seniors, scheduled for publication in 2012.
