About

The Manchester Social Club blasted onto the indie/punk scene Dec 2013 with a meteoric rise on Indie Music’s top barometer, ReverbNation.  Within a month of releasing their debut album, Soapbox Standards, the Santa Barbara, California band ranked #1 locally, # 48 nationally and #75 globally. The album charted at #19 ADDS in its first week of national indie radio distribution.

Blending the best of American and British punk, TMSC's unique sound appeals to fans across the spectrum of punk; from classic punk to indie punk. Music reviewers have likened the band’s tunes to Social Distortion and NOFX to Wilco, Blitzen Trapper and The Wallflowers, depending on the song, thus demonstrating the albums broad appeal.

The Manchester Social Club launched their 2014 tour in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the acclaimed First Avenue/7th Street Entry.  First Ave is best known as the iconic, 1500 capacity club featured in Prince's "Purple Rain" movie. 7th Street Entry, which holds 250 people, provides a more intimate atmosphere where many local Twin Cities' bands get their start.  Hardcore Punk band, Husker Du recorded their first album at The Entry and Motion City Soundtrack recorded their live DVD, "Commit This to Memory" at the venue.

Other stops on the 2014 tour include the band's hometown of Santa Barbara, CA, Los Angeles and Orange County CA as well as The Thirsty Nickel on March 15 in Austin, TX during the legendary SXSW.
