The SBDC Network is a partnership between the U.S. Small Business Administration, the State of Maryland and the University of Maryland, College Park. SBDC links private enterprise, government, higher education and local economic development organizations to provide high-quality training, confidential  no-cost consulting and market and industry research to Maryland’s small businesses in all categories, stages and phases of business.  The Maryland Network has also been accredited to provide technology commercialization assistance high-tech concerns.

The SBDC is part of a national network—founded in 1979—that helps over 500,000 U.S. businesses annually. Strengthening Maryland’s small businesses contributes directly to the growth of local, state and national economies.

Assistance is available at 5 regional offices and  22 service locations throughout the state.
