Our aim is to put into place a unique economic development programme that will initially be powered by its supporters.  The programme will be a social enterprise that will eventually function as a business by generating income through the export of cocoa and eco-tourism services.  We believe that the traditional charity and NGO approach is broken and advocate for a hand up and not a hand out method of eliminating long established problems of poverty.  As a social enterprise we will deliver a range of economic and environmental benefits over the duration of the programme, like creation of jobs, training and economic benefits as well balancing these benefits with the interests of our supporters.  In other words we are looking to achieve a fair exchange whereby a supporter’s input will be adequately rewarded.  The programme’s key objective is to be a socially, economically and environmentally conscious self-sustaining enterprise [built by the crowd.]
