New Eyes for the Needy

New Eyes is a non-profit organization fueled by the energy, enthusiasm and dedicated service of 250 volunteers of all ages and stages of life. New Eyes purchases new glasses for poor U.S. residents through a voucher system in partnership with social service agencies and optical dispensers across the country. New Eyes receives no government funding, but raises money for the voucher program through individual donations, foundation grants, corporate gifts, special events, scrap gold and the proceeds from sales at the Fabulous Finds Jewelry & Giftware Showroom.

New Eyes recycles donated prescription glasses, reading glasses and sunglasses for distribution to indigent people in developing countries through small medical missions and large charities. New Eyes glasses have traveled to 56 countries around the world, bringing clear sight to 6,500,000 people over the past 77 years.

New Eyes welcomes financial donations as well as donations of eyeglasses, jewelry, giftware and hearing aids and acknowledges donations for tax purposes.
