Rayeesa Asghar-Sandys, moved to Herefordshire in 2003 after a 17year career as a Met Police officer working in both Southall and Twickenham divisions. After moving to Herefordshire, she explored her love of Indian food and of hospitality, very quickly being known in her community as an expert on Indian cooking.

In 2010, she started her own Indian Cookery School, teaching small groups in her farmhouse kitchen, the essentials of Indian cooking.
The cookery school was an instant success and has won several local and national awards, including The Highly commended Tiffin Cup award.
Rayeesa has also been seen at food shows and events around the UK, like Ludlow Food Festival, BBC Good Food Show, sharing her skills with live cooking demonstrations.  

In 2012 she was seen on a BBC TV series Be Your Own Boss, where entrepreneurs pitched their ideas to Richard Reed, founder of Innocent brand. Her idea was an innovative way of cooking fresh Indian curries as home.

Thus the 'Frozen Curry Sauce' concept was revealed .
Boosted by the endorsement from Richard Reed, Rayeesa, then tested her product through her local Farmer's markets in Herefordshire, then she started supplying local shops, and selling at food shows. People were loving the quality, simplicity and taste of these frozen curry sauces. But they needed an identity.

In 2014, she was joined in the business by her daughter Farah Asghar-Sandys, who helped to expand sales from 4 local stockists, to over 40 nationwide. They aslo developed a new brand 'Spiced by Rayeesa' which was launched in June 2015 at The Left Bank Herefordshire, with a spectacular event.

Since the launch, the products are now available Nationwide through distributors, in some of the countries best farmshops like Chatsworth Farmshop in Derbyshire.

In 2017 Rayeesa apeared on TV on Dragon's Den, where her Spiced brand was given much praise but no investment. The dragon's praised Rayeesa for what she had achieved and endorsed the products, however could not see how to help her reach her market.

Since her Den appearance, Rayeesa was also featuired on BBC Back to The Land with Kate Humble, and QVC TV . She has been travelling around the UK selling her sauces at Costco Warehouses on her Spiced Road Show . Customers can also buy direct from the online store.

Rayeesa's aim is to Equip, Inspire and Release people to enjoy fresh, tasty Indian food, simply and effortlessly time and time again.
