Company Overview

Recognized by MountainWest Captial Network as the Top 6 Utah 100 Company and by Utah Business Magazine as Utah's Top 5 Fastest Growing Company, Revinetix® provides innovative data backup and recovery technology solutions for SMB/SME. Under the direction of CEO Victor Perez and Founder/Chief Scientist Steve "Max" Ackerman, the former co-founder and CTO of Phobos Corporation (now SonicWALL), Revinetix is revolutionizing the disk-based computer network disaster recovery space with a compelling product offering that delivers distinct advantages to SMB/SME network administrators and IT managers.

Central to Revinetix' technology and market approach is its Disk2Disk2Disk® or D2D2D® backup philosophy. While traditional backup solutions transfer data from disks to tapes - a slow and often unreliable method - Revinetix offers affordable total disk-based backup solutions, complete with preinstalled RevOS® management software, Data Deduplication, Byte-Level Replication, Bare Metal Restore (BMR) utility, all major OS and support for off-site archiving and replication. Other companies that compete in the Disk2Disk market either rely on tape as their final step in taking data offsite or they do not provide the same level of fully integrated and easy-to-use software.

Products

Revinetix offers enterprise-class disk backup appliances under the brand Sentio™. The rackmount Sentio line supports up to 80TB of raw data. With Sentio, Revinetix differentiates itself from other competitors by providing hot swappable SATA drives to achieve portability allowing users to take their data offsite.

Revinetix enhances protection against hardware failure by means of RAID technology. The Sentio ships complete with a hardware RAID card preconfigured to be RAID5, allowing for up to one disk in the array to fail without causing any loss of data.

Sentio includes Revinetix' powerful RevOS® and Bare Metal Restore (BMR) software pre-loaded on "best-of-breed" hardware to enable seamless installation into existing IT infrastructures, without any additional third-party software. Users simply plug the appliance into an Ethernet switch and let RevOS guide them through the simple configuration process. Competitors' data backup products require the separate purchase of software and hardware, and are more difficult to use, which complicates installation and adaptability, while increasing total-cost-of-ownership.

Revinetix' easy-to-use software allows customers to accept pre-defined parameters or to customize the backup of their data. Using its Disk2Disk2Disk® technology, Revinetix eliminates tape from the backup process. High-density, low-cost, and reliable SATA disks replace slow and unreliable tape to provide the data protection SMB/SME needs. Revinetix delivers solutions ranging from $5,399to $109,999.

Technology

The heart of Revinetix' solution is its RevOS® software and intuitive graphical interface. This Intellectual Property is the company's key differentiator. Its user interface continues to gain recognition as the easiest to use in the market, enabling rapid deployment and fast learning curves. Revinetix has patents pending that deal with the efficient management and storage of data across a network, especially pertaining to backup and recovery to disk. The company's backup software provides a well tested, professional quality backup solution. The user interface, control, configuration, and, most importantly, off-lining to disk capabilities have all been built to ensure high reliability and ease of use.

Because of tape's limitations, people generally perceive data backup as a snapshot in time. Revinetix, however, is pioneering continuous snapshots to secure clients' data - a concept referred to by the company as "perpetual backup". This concept represents a dramatic shift in how people fundamentally view backing up data, and a huge advantage in ensuring compliance with HIPAA, and other regulations.

Among the key benefits and differentiators of Revinetix' IP are:

   * Assurance of the continuous (perpetual) protection of data
   * Provision of an audit trail, creating a quantum leap in regulation compliance
   * Saved storage space by intelligently eliminating redundant copies of files
   * Radical reduction in traffic and improved network efficiency
   * Elimination of the need for backup windows (period of time when servers need to be down to allow backup)
   * Recovery of a system or file at any point in time
   * Data encryption and the ability to verify data on a Revinetix box or data going off-site
