About

The San Francisco Writers Conference helps writers become published authors by bringing well-respected literary agents (NYC, LA and SF), bestselling authors, and the best editors from the top publishing houses to this annual event. Attendees learn about writing and publishing at this 4-day conference held over President's Day Weekend in February.
The nonprofit, established in 2004, produces the event that has been held annually in San Francisco.  The founders/directors are Michael Larsen and Elizabeth Pomada. Marketing Director is Barbara Santos. SFWU Dean is Laurie McLean.
The event is limited to 325 attendees, yet includes 100 presenters, staff and volunteers for over 500 participants at each event.  Exhibit space is available, as is advertising in the event program and the monthly SFWC Newsletters.
San Francisco Writers University was launched in 2010 to provide access to writing related education via the web and live classes.
