About

PHILOSOPHY AND GOALS: St. Thomas endorses the call of the Catholic Bishops of the United States to express its educational ministry through the three objectives of personal spirituality, social justice, and a strong academic program in accord with Catholic values. This commitment extends to building Christian community and to fostering Christian service to the whole human family. RELIGIOUS ATTRIBUTE: At St. Thomas of Canterbury School, we strive to fulfill our religious commitment and to attain academic excellence through the educational mission of the Church. Our program uses the pastoral message on Catholic Education "To Teach As Jesus Did." We aim to integrate the Word revealed by God and the fellowship in the life of the Holy Spirit with service to the entire community. Christ's message of love is the central theme of our school. St. Thomas of Canterbury School creates an atmosphere that fosters a responsible and active membership to God's family. We make a dedicated effort to transform the concept of community into a working reality of service. With a spirit of celebration, trust, and hospitality, we emphasize our interdependence and shared responsibilities. The entire school community serves as educators of one another. Through the experience of a Christian community, we strive to lead our students to an awareness of the needs of their sisters and brothers in the school, neighborhood, and society
