About

Saint Benedict Press began in 2006, publishing classic Catholic titles. The company's name was chosen as homage to the guiding influence of the Rule of Saint Benedict and the Benedictine brothers of Belmont Abbey College. After acquiring TAN Books and Publishers in 2008, Saint Benedict Press shifted its focus to producing Catholic Bibles and Bible-related products.

Saint Benedict Press is the only Catholic publisher to currently, simultaneously sell the Douay-Rheims, Revised Standard Version — Catholic Edition, and New American Bibles, which are available in more than ten different bindings, colors, sizes and styles. Saint Benedict Press is constantly expanding to provide specialty custom Bibles for Sacraments and parish organizations, which include features such as gold embossing, hand-tipped pages, beautiful keepsake boxes and much more!

TAN Books is a traditional Catholic book distributor and publisher. Founded in Rockford, IL as "TAN Books and Publishers" in 1967, it was acquired by Saint Benedict Press, LLC, a family-owned Catholic Bible business located in Charlotte, NC in 2008. Since its acquisition, "TAN Books and Publishers" was renamed "TAN Books" and the company aimed to improve the quality of its products by commissioning new book covers and employing more durable book construction.

TAN, which stands for Tuum Adoramus Nomen ("We Adore Thy Name"), publishes the best traditional Catholic books, including many classics written by canonized Saints.
