Homeowners who find themselves overwhelmed as a result of Arizona’s mortgage crisis have options to prevent foreclosure, according to a newly formed group of experienced, cross-industry professionals - attorneys, mortgage brokers, and Realtors.

“Unfortunately in today’s market the threat of foreclosure is the main issue confronting many of Arizona’s homeowners,” says Jason Sherman, attorney and co-founder of the Phoenix-based Professionals for Homeowners, LLC.

Professionals for Homeowners, LLC helps homeowners understand their rights and options so they know what to expect and do not feel helpless. The 2-hour seminars (which are offered on weekends and evenings) are limited to 30 people and allow for a Q & A session, giving homeowners the opportunity to speak with the professionals.  The company is also offering Personal Options Guides in lieu of attending a seminar.

According to Sherman, most homeowners in crisis are not aware that there are alternatives to foreclosure, and that their homes can be protected from repossession. “It’s shocking to learn that more than 60% of homeowners who lose their home to foreclosure never have any contact with their lenders.”

Sherman, an attorney who has spent the last 9 years representing banks and mortgage lenders, teaches homeowners what to expect during the foreclosure process and the most current options available to homeowners, including the loss mitigation and short sale process.

Professionals for Homeowners, LLC, was founded with the sole purpose of helping homeowners navigate the confusing and unsettling world of home ownership. The goal of the educational seminars and personalized option plans is to provide homeowners with the necessary tools to make critical decisions involving their real estate
