About

Howard M. Rosenfield, an attorney in Farmington, Connecticut, and in Boca Raton, Florida, helps investors throughout the United States and foreign investors who have suffered losses due to broker misconduct in arbitration and mediation proceedings in state and federal courts and in arbitration and mediation proceedings before FINRA (forerly the National Association of Securities Dealers [NASD]), the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

He emphasizes that broker misconduct may include the recommendation of investments that were unsuitable in light of an investor's background, experience, knowledge or financial needs. Every customer has the right to demand mediation or arbitration of any dispute with his or her broker or brokerage firm. Because arbitration is prompt and less costly than going to court, Attorney Rosenfield resolves investment disputes through the mediation and arbitration facilities of FINRA and the AAA.

He achieved the designation of Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the California Western School of Law and holds a bachelor's degree from The Evergreen State College. Attorney Rosenfield offers experience, skill and know-how to achieve restitution for defrauded investors. He is involved with several professional organizations including the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA), Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, Florida Bar, Connecticut Bar and the American Bar Associations.

Sharing his expertise, Attorney Rosenfield has participated in, and served as chairman for, seminars on the Limited Partnership Expedited Arbitration procedures for the Connecticut Bar Association, he writes a monthly editorial for Senior Life magazine and he makes appearances on various radio shows and on the Financial News Network (now CNBC).

In the community, Mr. Rosenfield is active in his local Rotary chapter. He has served on the Advisory Board to the Department of Mental Retardation.
In his leisure time, he enjoys skiing, softball, and tennis. Howard and his wife, Judy, reside in Farmington, Connecticut, and they have four children, Joseph, Jessica, Moriah, and Daniel.
