About

Mindful Communication Consulting.  Upending conventional thinking about business communication, leadership, and professional contribution.

Effective communicators are mindful. They’re paying attention to now. They’re not distracted, not “elsewhere.” They’re not thinking about where they just were or what they’ll do next. They’re calm, optimistic, and engaged—in a word, mindful. To become a better leader, writer, and speaker, to just be happier at work, requires mindfulness practice, not as a cumbersome add-on to an already busy day, but as the underpinning of everything you do.

Susan de la Vergne is an experienced corporate manager, high tech leader, former English major in college, who coaches working professionals to bring their best selves to the job every day, expressed through communication and leadership practices. Susan studies meditation at a Kadampa Buddhist center, has a daily practice, and has integrated this into business teaching.

Communication and leadership are enriched by attention to the present moment and respect for others. Without mindfulness, compassion, gratitude, and equity, there is no leadership.
