The Playground is a unique company incorporating music, art & fashion through its events, magazine & website. It has a music PR service that aims to increase the profile of clients using the live circuit & various media to present them to wider audiences.

Events
The company hosts a wide range of musical acts of various genres including alternative, indie, electro, rock, urban and dance. Each event is unique with its theme and its other performances by DJs, VJs, burlesque dancers and performance artists. The Playground events have become known to host musical acts that are about to break into higher calibre positions in their careers. Some previous acts which have recently performed include My Tiger My Timing, Man Like Me, Crystal Fighters, the Brute Chorus, Rosie and the Goldbug, Citadels, Romance, Underground Railroad, Televised Crimewave, O'Children, Tommy Reilly, The Joy Formidable, White Lies (DJ), Eddy Temple-Morris, Hadouken, Bombay Bicycle Club (DJ), Franz Ferdinand (DJ), Trash Fashion, Infadels, Oscillation, The Crimea, Selfish C*nt, Anat (Chicks on Speed), Ulterior, Mica Paris, Imperial Leisure, The Holy Ghost Revival, Tom McRae, & Doll and the Kicks. Venues in which The Playground currently books London events at include 93 Feet East, Koko, Scala and The Jamm. The Playground has also been involved in hosting shows at The Great Escape Festival in Brighton and at In the City in Manchester in conjunction with XFM radio. Magazine
The Playground magazine, a free bi-monthly print and online publication, is a handy, informative and cutting-edge guide to all that is exciting in the underground realms of music, art, fashion and theatre. In each issue it previews all the important and exciting exhibitions, explores what happens when two different creative minds meet in its collaboration section and also sniffs out new artistic talent. High quality and bold photography is featured throughout. There is a strong focus on music with interviews, features and reviews as well as articles about edgy fashion, art and other cultural topics from around the world. Writers included Richard Davies (Music editor of Artrocker, The Guardian, The Independent, Sunday Times) and Reef Younis (The Fly, Clash, Artrocker, Backlash). The print edition contains a free CD of music from up-and-coming and established buzz artists. Plans are underway for the magazine to remain primarily digital but with updates and fresh cutting edge content to be featured on a daily basis through The Playground website. Website
As a website, The Playground brand really comes to life with its interactive content, constant update of music news, live TV broadcasts and rebroadcasts of music performances, music reviews and digital version of its magazine plus information about
all of the services and events of the company. The site generates a minimum of 300,000 unique visitors per month. However, all of this is about to change in 2010. Plans for an upgraded version of www.theplayground.co.uk are underway with more specialised sites affiliated with The Playground brand to debut along with it. Music PR
