About

Tulikivi is Finnish for Fire (Tuli) and Stone (Kivi). Soapstone absorbs and stores the heat from your fire – releasing it slowly over a number of hours. The heat radiates from the soapstone, heating the whole room – it isn’t just warm air which rises to the ceiling.

Just burning logs, briquettes or wood pellets for two to four hours can give you enough stored heat to warm your room for up to 36 hours. With this short burn time and the fact that Tulikivis are designed to meet the world’s most stringent emissions standards, this means that they are a green option too and ideal for a low energy home.

There are also health benefits to using radiated heat – when air is circulated by the convected heat of a radiator or wood burning stove, it also circulates dust, which, as we all know, can cause asthma and allergies.

The heat from a Tulikivi is a comfortable heat – and the soapstone doesn’t get burning hot, so you don’t need to keep children or pets away from the surface. In fact, some Tulikivis include a bench which warms up with the rest of the fireplace.

Tulikivis come in a range of styles and are customisable. They are also available with a bake oven – you can cook pizzas, bread, stews, etc. – without worrying about cooking smells. A pizza fresh from a wood oven? Yes, please.

All sounds too good to be true? Well don’t just take our word for it. We have many satisfied customers – see the testimonials on our website.

Tulikivi is new to the UK. We have a head office and main showroom, located in the wonderful Cotswold Water Park in Gloucestershire, where you can see many working models – and if you come on the right day, you may even see a cookery demonstration.
