About

The Ukrainian National Museum boasts an exhibit hall, a library, permanent collections and extensive archives.   We also host gallery exhibits by native and international artists and sculptors. Part of the permanent collections includes folk art, over 400 Pysanky (Ukrainian Easter Eggs), and as well as religious artifacts. The library has over 20,000 books, journals and pamphlets and 1,140 artifacts.  The archives contain extensive holdings of documents and photographs related to Ukraine and the Ukrainian community in Chicago including local church archives, 1933 Chicago World's Fair memorabilia, personal manuscripts of civic leaders and an extensive photographic collection. The Ukrainian National Museum collects, preserves and exhibits and serves as a resource for research and enjoyment the artifacts and records of the Ukrainian Immigration in America, and Chicago in particular.  (The museum is handicapped accessible and has its own parking lot, just east of the main entrance.)
