About

"It's going to be very beneficial to our community in the sense that it will be another extra income for the families" says Jone Katoni, Island executive of Pacific FIJI, explaining how this project could deliver important social and economic benefits for local communities.

Based in Taveuni Island and Vanua Levu, Pacific FIJI announced this week that it is raising funds of $100,000AUD via a crowd-funding campaign on Kickstarter to continue the development of their new system and release their first batch of their latest invention. Official release date of products is set at July 2016 with planned development commencing at the start of 2016.

This move is greatly shifting the industrialization of Virgin Coconut Oil into a more carbon-neutral, future friendly and sustainable industry where villages are able to work together as a community. This new method allows workers to earn upto Eight times higher incomes than working with traditional copra while producing a far superior product.

This has empowered and provided much needed employment within a number of villages throughout these Islands, without the need to migrate into urban areas for employment.

Pacific FIJI was setup in the South Pacific Islands of FIJI in 2015 and has enjoyed immediate early traction with its vision of social change while remaining sensitive to culture and the local environment.
