YIKES, Inc. is a women-owned company dedicated to green business practices. Since 1996, YIKES has been a socially responsible business observing the triple bottom line: people, planet, profit. YIKES is committed to building a more socially, environmentally and financially sustainable local economy.
YIKES is a member of the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia, the Independence Business Alliance and is a B Corporation member. YIKES has also earned  and is approved to be listed as a green business in their National Green Pages™ directory.

The YIKES office is powered by 100% renewable electricity through the Energy Cooperative Association of Pennsylvania. Most of the paper materials used by YIKES are recycled and printed with soy ink. YIKES is also a 100% Replanted office. YIKES employees donate a percentage of YIKES' profits to non-profit organizations every year.

The YIKES co-owners have recently purchased a building in Fishtown. For over 5 years the blighted buildings have stood vacant and deteriorating. The planned green renovation will bring the buildings to LEED Platinum status, the highest level of certification of this green building certification system. The completed project will have two storefronts, one two-bedroom apartment and three one-bedroom apartments.
