About

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of groups, organizations, and institutions who would be more than happy to tell you “what” the problem is. When the inevitable question “but how do I fix it?” comes up, however, these same groups either answer “fund us,” or “go out and protest, and you can make a difference!” neither of which are helpful to anyone who wants to change the world, the nation, or even their own community.

The Solutions Institute is a group of dedicated people willing to fill that gap. We are activists, media professionals, IT wizards, networkers, and more, dedicated to helping people change their world.

To do that, we must think outside the box. You’ll find weekly blog posts on the finer points of activism, a library of online resources for action, and an expanding repository of short courses in everything from understanding and working with group psychology to managing a Facebook page. Our speakers will Skype, or fly in to your group, and you can get personalized help by just asking us here. In the near future, you’ll be able to contact a huge community of activists and network with people interested in your cause.

We do have one rule: good ideas don’t require force. Instead of “banning” things, we help you create better alternatives. Instead of passing new laws, we help you find people-based solutions to the problem. Instead of “requiring” people to do things, we help you create educational materials to cut the problem off at its source. Ideas are the true playing field, and we help the best ideas succeed, great ideas flourish, and good ideas become even better.
