About

Alameda Pediatric Dentistry (Alameda, CA) and Pleasanton Pediatric Dentistry (Pleasanton, CA), located in the San Francisco Bay Area specializes in oral health for infants, adolescents and special needs children. The practice was founded by Dr. David Perry 30 years ago.

Along with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Alameda Pediatric Dentistry & Pleasanton Pediatric Dentistry recommend that babies see a pediatric dentist when the first tooth appears, usually between six and 12 months of age, but no later than the first birthday. This can help to prevent dental problems.

Pediatric dentists on staff undergo several years of additional training beyond the four years of dental school so that they are uniquely qualified to treat children, including those with special needs. They are on the faculty at UC San Francisco and University of the Pacific dental schools as well as have hospital privileges at Children’s Hospital, Oakland.
