Alan Blakely specializes in jaw-dropping architecture photography, stylish & sophisticated interior photography and captivating & insightful aerial photography. His attention to detail is legendary. Alan is joined on assignments by his wife Colelyn who brings her skills as a stylist and project coordinator to your photoshoot.

Alan is recognized as one of the top architectural photographers at work today, with a career that spans over two decades. He is the founder of  The Association of Independent Architectural Photographers, Real Estate Photographers of America & International and Aerial Drone Photographers of America. His work has appeared in most major architecture and interior design publications and he is a regular contributor to The New York Times as well as a Shutterstock Custom contributor.

In his spare time Alan enjoys photographing "Hidden Spaces & Forgotten Places" for his Time Chambers™ project. Recent projects include historic movie palaces, abandoned industrial-age factories, vintage barber shops, mid-century service stations, classic cafes & diners and forgotten grand hotels.

Alan is the creator of the innovative SmartZone Exposure System™ for architectural, landscape and real estate photography. He is also a faculty member at the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, and is the author of the book Fundamentals of Architectural Photography™.

Alan's clients include magazines, manufacturers, architects, interior designers, builders, developers, planners and property managers.
