STANDARD CHARTERED BANK-EDUCATION FOR THE DESERVING
COMPUTER DONATION HELPS 10,000 STUDENTS OF NASRA SCHOOLS



Karachi (Staff Reporter):  The Management of “Education Trust Nasra Schools” held a ceremony at the Nasra School Campus at Depot Lines, Garden West Karachi, to inaugurate their new computer lab for the school. This lab and three others in Nasra School campuses located at Malir, Super Highway and Korangi, have been set up with help from Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Limited. More than 10,000 students studying at Nasra Schools will benefit from this initiative.

The Trustees of the Institute Ms. Wazir Ali and Ms. Wajid Khan along with staff from the school’s Computer Department, met officials from Standard Chartered and gave them a comprehensive tour of the lab. Also present on the occasion was Mrs. Fakhar Karim – EDO Education and Mr. Eazaz Dar- Senior Program Manager at the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP).

Standard Chartered has partnered with PCP to help donate computers to deserving schools across Pakistan including earthquake affected areas of Azad Kashmir. Donating computers is part of the Bank’s overall Education strategy which focuses on providing educational opportunities for deserving students across Pakistan. Standard Chartered has donated more than 850 computers to schools across Pakistan providing opportunity to thousands of deserving students to gain valuable technological skills.
