Amani Beach Hotel

Boutique beach hotel located just 33km south of Dar es Salaam. 10 luxury air-conditioned beach bungalows nestle in 80 acres of tropical gardens and indigenous forest, each overlooking the Indian Ocean.

The hotel grounds and gardens are full of wildlife including velvet monkeys, bush babies and bee eaters. Out on the beach, turtle hatch in season and fish eagles soar overhead - a nature lovers paradise.

The spacious bungalows are built with traditional makuti (palm leaf) thatch and blend Zanzibarian opulence with African craftsmanship and charm, including a super king-size four poster bed. Every bungalow also has a big private veranda looking out to the ocean with a hammock and seating area.

Amenities include child-friendly swimming pool, tennis court, petanque, table tennis, cliff walks, turtle hatching (in season), snorkelling and an a la carte menu using fresh local ingredients. Safaris, babysitting and horse riding organised upon request. Day visitors welcomed but by prior arrangement only.
