About

anna.aero is Airline Network News & Analysis: a totally free and open website dedicated to outstanding airline network planning intelligence, produced by a multi-disciplinary team led by Ralph Anker, a former network planner with Go and easyJet.

Besides genuine number-crunching analysis we also pride ourselves on a sleek news-gathering operation in which we aim to feature every route launch wherever it takes place in the world – and illustrate it with superb pictures of the actual launch.

Every week since July 2007 we have totally refreshed the content of the site with our weekly news and analysis, while retaining all our previous findings in our comprehensive open archive: The anna.aero Gold Mine. And every week since July 2007 our brand new weekly news and analysis has been encapsulated into a weekly “Front Page” newsletter sent directly to the mailboxes of requesting subscribers (over 10,000 in February 2010) who pay nothing for this excellent service.
We love new route celebrations and make a weekly award of “Route of the Week” for the new air service which best demonstrates the greatest tenacity and entrepreneurship. We also believe route launch parties have a serious side – brave airlines launch new routes, but airport partners must market them! We think there is a direct correlation between the quality of the welcoming cake and the effort an airport puts into a new route promotion and we recognise this with anna.aero’s amazingly popular “Cake of the Week” prize. Winners of both weekly prizes receive a special commemorative certificate to hang with pride in their offices and board rooms.
Advertise to over 40,000 unique readers

With its hard-hitting analysis, great visual content, and totally open access it’s no surprise that by February 2010 anna.aero had won a readership exceeding 40,000 monthly visits from the worldwide network planning community.

We’re just as proud to have major advertising customers from world cities spanning the globe, such as Los Angeles, Amsterdam, Copenhagen or Delhi, as we are to have anna.aero advertisers among the inspiring breed of successful brand new upstart airports like Phoenix/Mesa, “Munich”/Memmingen, or Durban’s King Shaka International – opening this year in order to serve traffic for the South African-hosted FIFA World Cup.
