Arborland Montessori Children’s Academy is a private school for children ages 18 months through 6th grade. We also provide K-12 tutoring, after school study hall, childcare, art, dance, music, swimming, tennis classes and more. The Goal of Arborland Montessori is to maximize your child's potential by providing hands-on materials, dedicated Montessori teachers, personalized curriculum, and life-long study skills to cultivate your child's intellectual, physical, and social development in a safe and loving environment.
The Arborland Philosophy
It is our belief that each child is a unique individual with his own special needs and background, and should be recognized as someone special. In order for the child to grow and learn, he must first feel safe, accepted, and competent in an environment that is encouraging, nurturing, supportive and challenging.
Dr. Maria Montessori developed what she called the Prepared Environment which instills self discipline and allows the child to learn at his own speed, according to his own capacities and in a non-competitive atmosphere. "Never let children risk failure until they have a reasonable chance of success."
Arborland Montessori Children's Academy is directed toward the application of the highest standard and interpretation of the Montessori method through the techniques and philosophy developed by Dr. Maria Montessori.
Our main objective is to provide a carefully planned, stimulating environment which will help the child develop within himself the foundational habits, attitudes, skills and ideas which are essential for a lifetime of creative thinking and learning.
The teachers at Arborland Montessori Children's Academy hold the Association of Montessori Internationale (AMI) or the American Montessori Society (AMS) teaching credential. They are professional educators who love the children and are dedicated to their work. Arborland Montessori Children's Academy is recognized by the Orange County Department of Education and the Association of Montessori Internationale (AMI).
