Being a renowned Award Winning journalist, columnist, filmmaker and Press Freedom Activist Malik Ayub Sumbal has been awarded as Infogram Ambassador from Pakistan to work for the capacity building and enhancing skills of journalists.

Malik has now more than 10 years of professional working experience of investigative reporting in Print, Online and Broadcast Journalism. During his chequered career, Malik has been working on the Terrorism, Democracy, Security and Defense, Society and Culture, International Development, Conflict Resolution, Human Rights and Peace building issues from Pakistan for the national and international media.

He is also a senior analyst on the various developing news from Pakistan and across the region in South Asia. He is an expert on Taliban’s and al-Qaeda, South Asian security & defense and strategic studies.

Malik Ayub Sumbal was also honored for, “US Mirror Award Winning Journalist Syracuse University Mirror Award Winner for 2012 on United States media double standards for best Single Article, titled “Mrs. Bhutto’s Murder Anniversary Part 1: Troubling Double Standard, American photojournalism’s different treatment of foreign victims” (iMediaEthics)

Recently, Malik  has made a documentary on Polio issue in Pakistan titled, “The Final Punch.”

After a series of success now inforgram has honored Malik as Ambassador from Pakistan.

Sharing his emotions on winning the award, Malik said,” Through this inforgram program, “I will enhance the skills of the journalists in this era of modern journalism. I will work for the capacity building and improving of the journalists skills and give a thought towards the data journalism.”

Malik has also won the Syracuse University  Mirror Award for 2012;  The S.I. Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University confers the Mirror Awards annually to honor excellence in reporting on the media industry.

Malik is currently working as a Freelance Correspondent to multiple international outlets, including Al Jazeera, Gulf News, Deutsche Welle, Free Speech Radio News (FSRN), The Diplomat, Asia Times Online, Asia Calling Radio, The Foreigner, iMediaEthics and some other leading international media organizations.

Malik also comes into view on local Pakistani news channels for his objective and accurate analysis on the latest developments in the country. He also comes on the foreign news channels on the Pakistan’s affairs.
