Azad foundation is a non-profit organization working with street children since 2001. Azad Foundation's work include protection and prevention service provision to street children, research, advocacy and capacity building/training with civil society and government.
Azad Foundation is the pioneer organization that highlighted this sensitive issue in Pakistan for the first time. Azad Foundation has collaborated with Social Welfare Department of Sindh, National and Provincial Commissions on Child Welfare and Development, Ministry of  Human Rights, United Nations Office on Drug Control (UNODC), UNICEF, Group Development France and Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC) in past to benefit street children. Azad Foundation is the first and only member of Consortium of Street Children (a group of over 60 organizations working globally on this issue). Azad Foundation works very closely with the government and initiated projects in collaboration with government for rehabilitation and integration of street children. these projects include residential transit care and rehabilitation shelter and protection spaces for street children.
