About

We are located inside of Sunrise Cyclery in beautiful historic Logan, Utah.  Bike Recyclery had humble beginnings operationg as Mountain Slayer Cycles out of a garage in St. Louis, Missouri, 2006.  Fast forward 6 years, June 2012.  We are relaunching MSC under the banner Bike Recyclery.  With the name change comes a much improved website, better parts sourcing, and the support of Sunrise Cyclery.  With the coaching of resident bicycle advocate/designer/all around eccentric Jeff Keller, Bike Recyclery has grown tremendously in knowledge and depth.

Our specialty is 1970's to present day high end and collectable parts and bicycles.  We've sold everything from your standard selection of beautiful Campagnolo components, to a museum quality 1983 Stumpjumper, to $7000 modern road bikes, and everything inbetween.  If you don't see what you're looking for, feel free to ask!  We have deeply rooted sources, and can pull up some obscure parts at times.

Recycling

A large number of our parts are used.  Our used bike parts come from many sources, including boxes of parts destined for the dumpster, bikes with broken frames, and bike shop basements.  Our goal is to put these parts back on the road!  After all, the only thing better than recycling is reusing!  All used parts are throughly cleaned, inspected, and polished.

The recycling doesn't stop with reusing bike parts!  Since we operate out of the back of Sunrise Cyclery, we reuse the shipping materials Sunrise receives.  Jeff created BlipSeats to save packaging materials for reuses. Sunrise Cyclery fills the seats, and Bike Recyclery takes the packaging out of them to pad your shipment! 100% of our packing materials are reused, and many of our boxes too.  When you buy form Bike Recyclery, you are part of our sustainable team.

Got a garage full of old parts?  Know of a shop closing?  Want a new bike?

We want your old bikes and parts!  We love trades, and can buy stuff outright.  We'll even buy out the remains of a closing store!  We greatly appreciate any information about bike shop closings, auctions/estate sales full of bikes, etc.  This is how we keep providing you cool products!  In addition to trading for Bike Recyclery inventory, we have access to a full line of new Giant, KHS, and Surly bikes, as well as any new part/accessory you could want. Contact us if you have parts to sell/trade/donate, or know of some!

Ride on!
