About

Gold Coast Internet company Bloomtools is participating in Business Clean Up Australia day this Tuesday and is challenging other businesses to do their bit for the community too.

Bloomtools staff will roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty by collecting rubbish at Robina Lake to help the environment and give back to the local community that has supported them.

Bloomtools Managing Director James Greig believes that it’s a great cause and challenges other Gold Coast businesses to get involved too.

“As a business you often give donations of money to events, but it is worth much more to roll up your sleeves and give some sweat back to the community that your business is in – it really shows that you care,” he said.

“We think that all local businesses should participate in this event , so we are issuing a challenge – prove that you value the environment and your community by registering for this event and getting your team involved,” he said.

After hearing of this event, James contacted the local council to find an area that needed some attention and Robina Lake was chosen.

“Our council does a pretty good job of keeping our city clean, but it is amazing that there are still locations out there that are not covered and this is where we can make a difference,” said James.

“Our team are excited to get out and do their bit – our business philosophy is based on getting our hands dirty, so it will be great to actually do it for real and help the environment at the same time,” he said.

So if you’re a local business, follow the lead of Bloomtools and register for Business Clean Up Australia Day on Tuesday and join them as they give back to their community.
