A Move into Fashion
Brand Grab emerged on to the Australian retail scene in February 2011 with a focus on homewares, gifts and fashion accessories. Soon after its initial launch, Brand Grab began to notice that there was a great deal of customer enthusiasm and activity around its designer-brand clothing sales.
“We were considering a move into the fashion world,” says Dennis Duplaix, Brand Grab’s founder, “and noticed that there was a lot of excitement for these types of products and these types of sales. We decided to make the transition complete and immediate, in direct response to our customers’ wants and needs.”
The decision was made to realign Brand Grab around fashion clothing sales exclusively. Offerings from such popular Australian and International favorites as Bondi Beauty and Claire Powell would be on the docket, along with other high quality brands from the leading edge of Australia’s fashion scene.
A Successful Launch
Brand Grab’s new fashion site launched on the 5th of September and has already conducted several fashion clothing promotions to enormous customer response.
The new site operates on the same principle as Brand Grab’s initial offering— sizable discounts on exclusive merchandise are extended to Brand Grab members via private sales accessible through Brandgrab.com.au Brand Grab’s buyers negotiate and hand-select sought-after merchandise from some of today’s leading designer manufacturers and suppliers. Those deals are then announced to active members every morning at 6 AM.
Dennis says excitement is palpable as Brand Grab moves forward with this new model. “We’ve seen a great reaction from customers for these deals so far,” says Duplaix, “we’re anticipating a lot of member enthusiasm moving forward.” Plans are already underway to expand Brand Grab’s already rich collection of manufacturers and suppliers, says Dup. “We’ve got some great new designers planned in the next few weeks and months… new and existing Brand Grab fans are going to be really happy with what’s coming up.”
