Calmrise

Calmrise Publishing was set up by Valerie Thompson in 2010 in order to publish The Logical Magic of Change, after she had paid a company to publish it, only to waste about 6-months, and in the region of 500 hours of her precious time.  She had nothing saleable at the end of it, just a truly dreadful looking book. Fortunately, after a determined effort, she got her money back, and then set up Calmrise. So now she does the lot: Writing, formatting, cover design, proof reading, editing, etc.

She took the self publishing route because the subject matter of The Logical Magic of Change is not mainstream. Having done so, she has now self published her first novel, Laws of Contrition, a pacy, racy, story set within investment banking, with as much taking place off the trading floor as on it.
