About

Children’s Learning Center of Wyckoff at Fardale was founded in 1984 by Rae Ann Jandris.  Rae Ann, a Kindergarten teacher and a working parent at the time, recognized the need for quality child care.  She believed in expanding children’s horizons in a loving atmosphere while simultaneously offering peace of mind to working parents.  Her dreams and ideas became a reality when she opened the doors of her school in Midland Park, NJ.  With help from four other staff members, they stimulated the children’s imaginations and alleviated the worries related to the child care dilemma of two income families.

Eventually, the permanent home of the Children’s Learning Center was designed and implemented with the help of her partner and son Chuck Jandris, at 11 Leighton Place in March of 1995.  The building is nestled in the Fardale section of Mahwah, on the Wyckoff border, which offers quick access to Routes 208, 17, I-287. The building was magically transformed into a 19,000 square foot crayon-colored dream world designed especially for young children. Classrooms are naturally bright and whimsically decorated providing an environment where children can flourish from birth through Kindergarten and after school through Grade 5.

Facilities, equipment, and supplies can be excellent, but it is the staff which provides the most important contribution to the quality of our program.  The staff at Children’s Learning Center of Wyckoff at Fardale has been carefully chosen.  Professional standards are high and the school is fortunate to have people who are committed to their profession.  Programs offer certified head teachers and qualified assistant teachers implementing a superior developmentally-appropriate curriculum in keeping with our philosophy.  Effective January of 2011, all staff are American Heart Association CPR & AED certified.  In previous years, only Administration, Supervisors & Teachers were trained.
