Our mission is to be employers’ strategic skills partner and go-to place for science industry skills.
Cogent Skills has a key strategic partnership role. It has successfully facilitated, on behalf of employers, a bid to establish a Science Industry Partnership (SIP). This is piloting an employer owned skills system, determining what is needed and commissioning what gets delivered. Cogent Skills is the expert delivery partner for the SIP.
Cogent Skills has over a decade of expertise in skills for science industries. It both responds to the skills demands of business and connects with government skills policies to ensure the right environment for skills to flourish. Everything that we do is underpinned by a robust quality system.
What we do
Cogent Skills supports science industry employers to attract, retain and develop people who can contribute to business success. We offer a variety of services from recruiting the best new talent to your business via industrial placements and Apprenticeships, to developing your existing workforce through training courses and skills benchmarking.

We bring a holistic approach to addressing your people development challenges, using our employer-led Gold Standard benchmarking tools to unlock key insights into your organisation.
