About

The Early Sprouts Institute creates research-based programs that help early childhood educators foster enthusiasm for healthy foods and active play in young children. A collaboration between Health Science and Early Childhood Education departments of Keene State College, the programs are used by early childhood educators nationwide. The Early Sprouts program has received awards from the U.S. Surgeon General, the National Gardening Association, and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Proceeds from materials and trainings cover direct costs and fund new research and development on young children’s health for early childhood educators.
